The Proverbial "Fork in the Road"
I have just finished spending the entire morning looking at all of your fotopages.... those of you who I have exchanged posts or messages with, and whose fotopages I enjoy so much! It has been so long since I have been able to really spend some time and enjoy all of your pages! I have to tell you all that your pages are beyond fantastic! When you people comment on my pictures and say such nice things, I have to wonder if its pity because I really do pale in comparision.

Everyone that reads this post needs to visit all the pages that I have linked, your time will be well spent. I want to say a few things about each of the links I have posted to the left (under favorites), and I really hope that what I say comes out the same way I think... They will all be compliments...

Sarah's page.... Not only does she spend a great deal of time in the outdoors, and we get the privalige of enjoying the outdoors by proxy with her pictures... but her text posts are so open, honest, heartfelt, and detailed that it seems like you get to peer into her very soul. She types in her pages as she were talking to you on the phone, and you're her oldest friend. When I read her pages, I find myself waiting for the next day, just to see what happens in her life. I have yet to decide which I enjoy more, her text or her pictures. Both are wonderful. You get the feeling that you live next door to her, and you have been neighbors your entire life.

Penny's page... is so warm it makes me feel like I'm home at my mothers house. Is that a weird thing to say? That's just the kind of feeling I get when see her pictures. Trust me, I love my mothers house, so this is a serious compliment. Penny's work is just awesome, and her page is among my very favorites!

Matt's page (Offensive Behaviour).... An awesome photographer, that can capture any moment in time and make it live forever in pictures. He's got more artistic talent in his little finger than I could ever hope to have in my entire body. Everyone of his pictures seems thoughtful and full of insight, even if it was taken at the spur of the moment. His text posts and pictures can be brooding at times, giving you insight into the "Mind of Matt." Brooding may not be the best word... contemplative may be better, or atleast clarify what I meant. I just know that when I browse his page, I find myself looking at his pictures, reading his words, and then I just wonder what's going through that mind of his... my wager is a million different things are on his mind every moment, from worry to joy. I think Matt's page is one way he expresses his emotions, and it shows in his photography.

WHK's page.... There is no doubt that one day he (?) will be opening an exhibit of his pictures, and some lucky souls will have the privalage of attending. The pictures on this page are absolutely postcard perfect, and seem so professional. I'm a big fan of amature photography, but what I like about WHK's page is that while the pictures are step above, the person behind the camera is an amature at heart, with the skill of a professional, and one can tell that the photographs are not taken for money, but the love of taking taking pictures.

Webgrrl's page.... The girl has an artistic mind that's reflected on both sides of the camera. Her designs are beautiful and intriuging... And her pictures are just awesome! Her photo's range from the abstract, to nightlife, to scenic, to culture/counter culture, and everything imaginable in between. All of which are beyond perfection. Anyone of us could take a picture at a concert, but Webgrrl can take a picture at a concert and then take your breath away when you look at it... you don't even care who the band is, you just say "WOW." She's that good. She has the ability to see things that will make great pictures, while the rest of us would never even notice them, let alone find the beauty in them that she shows us. When you look at her page, you have to look at every single post because one is so different from the next.

This post is continuing, I'm certainly not done yet. I got lots to say.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOUR WORDS ARE AMONG THOSE THAT INSPIRES, ENCOURAGE, AND MOTIVATE MY PHOTOGRAPHY, AND ALSO MAKE ME SMILE.

AS FOR YOUR PICS, IF IT IS QUALITY THAT YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT DON'T BE, IT IS WHAT YOU SEE THAT TWEAKS MY INTEREST, NOT TO MENTION YOUR SWIFT USE OF WORDAGE, MY COMMENTS ON YOUR PICTURES ARE NOT OUT OF PITY(THATâ??S INSANE) BUT OUT OF ADMIRATION. I REALLY ENJOY YOUR SHOTS AND YOUR WORDS, REALLY I DO.

SO THANK YOU FOR THE KIND WORDS AND FOR A CHANCE TO SEE THROUGH YOUR EYES, AND TO READ YOUR VIEWS.

Wow ahhh.. what to say besides thanks Corbon!! Being grouped with these 4 other people is an honor itself, And all of they other talented photographers out in this community, wow there all awesome. You mentioned "do they pity me " hell no to take pictures like that with a camera phone takes talent. Its what make this community so great all the contrasting ways or even talent that shows up is awesome. I follow a lot of pages more for ideas than the pictures, not that pictures are bad but the people behind the cameras are so talented in spotting the shot!! Thanks again WHK Tue 31-Aug-2004 20:58
